During 2012 Coastal Defense Inc. (CDI) supported multiple live fire exercises at Smokey Hill Range, Kansas, Adirondacks Joint Range, New York and Hardwood Air-to-Ground Weapons Range, Wisconsin. CDI operated and integrated 12 Unmanned Ground Targets (UGT) beyond line of sight both day and night in three distinctive environments, mountainous, woodland and rolling hills. The Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTAC) conducted Type I and Type II controls engaging the moving targets with laser guided munitions and both 20mm and 30mm strafe. The smooth integration between the multiple CAS sorties, JTACs and the UGTs were instrumental to the success of these pre-deployment training exercises. Coastal Defense Inc. looks forward to another great year of supporting our troops in 2013.
